Red Braille: CG’s White Label Studio

Updated: Jun 6

Hello CG Family!

You’ve probably seen a ton of incredible video content coming out of Christ Greenfield over the past couple of years - whether it’s in-service videos, music videos, promos, or even full-on short films. In the past year alone, these videos have racked up nearly 200,000 views across CG’s online channels! But what you might not know is the story behind how it all gets made - and, more importantly, how it fits into the bigger mission of our church.

Let’s talk about Red Braille.

Red Braille isn’t some outside company. It’s not owned by a person or a private business. It’s the name we use for the production studio of Christ Greenfield. That’s right - everything we produce under the “Red Braille” banner is actually the creative work of our team, operating on behalf of the church.

So why the name?

Simple: When we work with ministries around the country, many of them are looking for a professional production company - not just “another church” to make their videos. By using the white label of Red Braille, we’ve been able to serve ministries far and wide while showcasing CG’s incredible talent and creative spirit.

In business terms, “white label” means offering services under a brand that can be externally presented without drawing attention to the parent organization. Red Braille is just a name - but it opens doors. And it’s working.

How it helps Christ Greenfield

Through Red Braille, we now bring in over $100,000 every year by producing high-end video content for other ministries. That income doesn’t go to any individual or outside entity - it goes directly back into covering studio overhead, including things like:

  • Salaries for our two full-time creative team members

  • Essential equipment upgrades to keep us current

  • Rent for our production space

This strategic model allows Christ Greenfield to receive top-tier video content at a fraction of the cost of hiring a commercial studio. In the professional world, just a few minutes of finished content can easily cost over $1,000 per minute. By streamlining our process and operating as a fully equipped production studio, our team is able to meet all of CG’s video needs while keeping costs low. Partnering with other ministries across the country helps offset expenses and makes it possible to deliver high-quality content more sustainably.

Simply said - we’re not here to turn a profit. This isn’t a business venture - it’s a ministry tool. Red Braille exists to serve Christ Greenfield and support other churches by helping them share the Gospel in creative, modern ways. It also allows us to produce high-quality video content for CG at a fraction of the typical cost. These videos shine a light on what God is doing in our church and help share the hope of Jesus with people facing both visible and hidden darkness in our community.

Growing Impact

In addition to all of the yearly CG content, Red Braille also produces classes for online teaching resources, and we’ve begun shooting more regularly with two other Lutheran churches in the valley. These partnerships allow us to support fellow churches while maximizing our resources and sharpening our craft.

It’s our hope to expand these offerings to even more churches - while staying fully committed to creating the same amount and level of quality content for CG Church and School heading into the next church fiscal year.

This summer, Red Braille’s impact is reaching even further. Our Senior Director of Development, Todd Freeman, was invited to serve as the Lead Editor for the 2025 LCMS National Youth Gathering in New Orleans — an event that brings together over 20,000 youth from across the country. This is an exciting and humbling milestone, not just for Todd, but for the entire Red Braille team. It’s a clear sign that the content we’re creating for Christ Greenfield is being recognized as a new standard of excellence in ministry media. What started as a creative endeavor to serve our local church is now helping shape the visual voice of the wider church - and we’re just getting started.

The Vision

Red Braille is about multiplication. It’s about taking the gifts God has given Christ Greenfield - vision, talent, and creativity - and using them to bless others and move His mission forward. We are committed to building a culture of excellence in media, not just for our church, but for the wider Kingdom. Also, by partnering with ministries across the country, we’re able to lower the cost of producing high-quality video content for CG, making it more sustainable to create meaningful, impactful media for our community.

So the next time you see a powerful video moment in service - or a creative piece that brings Christ Greenfield's mission to life online - know this: it wasn’t just made for you. It was made because of you. Your support of Christ Greenfield fuels this creativity. And through Red Braille, that creativity is now impacting people across the country.

Thank you for believing in the mission, and for being part of a church that’s not afraid to dream big, tell bold stories, and use every tool available to reach people for Jesus.

With joy and gratitude,

The Red Braille Team

(aka your very own CG Storytelling Crew)
